Trinity Medical Pharmacy Brings New Hope To Tampa Bay’s Walk To Cure Psoriasis

Painful, disabling, uncomfortable and embarrassing: Psoriasis and
psoriatic arthritis — the most common, chronic auto-immune disease in
the world — impacts the lives of nearly 500,000 people in Florida. Which
is exactly why Trinity Medical Pharmacy, together with Dr. Frank
Armstrong, Nicholas Armstrong and ACRNP Bonnie Nestler will gather at
George M. Steinbrenner Field with thousands of other Bay-Area residents
on Sunday, May 4 for the National Psoriasis Foundation’s (NPF) Walk to
Cure Psoriasis.

Dr. Frank Armstrong is a member of the National Psoriasis Foundation’s
Presidents Council and has lectured nationally on this topic. His son,
Nicholas, has been chosen as the 2014 NPF Youth Ambassador. 20,000
children are diagnosed with psoriasis each year. Together they engaged
and are active in helping the NPF improve the lives of people with
psoriatic diseases through research, services and advocacy.

“We are proud to partner with Dr. Armstrong and his son, Nicholas, to
sponsor Walk to Cure Tampa Bay,” says Trinity Medical Pharmacy’s CEO
Krutika Patel. ”With more than 125 million individuals living with
psoriasis, 20,000 of which are children like Nicholas, it’s important to
show our support and let people know there are safer, more effective
medical treatments available to them.”

Though a cure remains to be found, Trinity Medical Pharmacy has
developed an innovative psoriasis treatment that is safer for patients
to use daily without the harsh side effects of current regimens, giving
new hope and immediate relief to those battling psoriasis.

As an ACRNP at Bay Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, Nestler witnesses the
devastating impact of psoriasis every day. “People with psoriasis often
feel shunned or judged by society, because their disease is so visibly
painful, even disfiguring and disabling. And even though there isn’t a
cure, yet, it’s uplifting to know that companies like Trinity Medical
Pharmacy are working so hard to find solutions and treatments that can
help right now,” she says.

Walk to Cure Psoriasis Tampa Bay will take place this Sunday, May 4,
2014 at George M. Steinbrenner Field, and begins at 9 a.m. with
registration at 8 a.m. The family-friendly walk is being held and
features non-competitive 1K and 5K routes, a Psoriasis and Psoriasis
Arthritis Health Fair, along with kid’s activities, food, entertainment
and more. All proceeds and donations from the Walk go towards research
and finding a cure for psoriasis. Learn more by visiting
