ScripsAmerica Launches Diabetes Patient Supply Program through Main Avenue Pharmacy

TYSONS CORNER, VA / ACCESSWIRE / January 12, 2015 / ScripsAmerica, Inc. (OTCQB: SCRC) today announced that the Company has launched a diabetes patient supply program through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Main Avenue Pharmacy.

Through the new program, ScripsAmerica now has the ability to provide diabetes patients in certain states with medical supplies that are only available through a physician’s prescription and typically covered by medical insurance and Medicare. Main Avenue Pharmacy will work directly with manufacturers and suppliers to provide diabetics with the top medical supplies and will store some inventory of this medical equipment as needed.

Medical supplies that the Company will provide include, but are not limited to meters, test strips, swabs, pens, lancing devices and lancets. The global market for products in the management of diabetes currently stands at $41 billion and is on pace to grow to over $114 billion by 2018, according to a recent report by “Research and Markets.”

Bob Schneiderman, CEO of ScripsAmerica, stated, “Scrips is excited to announce that we have entered the rapidly growing market for diabetic medical supplies and believe that our new service has the ability to provide another consistent, long-term revenue stream for Main Avenue Pharmacy. We are confident that the Company can quickly build a sizeable customer base for our diabetic supply program which has already begun generating revenue in December 2014, its first month of operation.”

“We also have a marketing subdivision focused on Spanish speaking diabetics, a market segment that we believe is not only growing quickly but is also largely underserved. As with all areas of our business, we expect success and growth to stem from our exceptionally high level of customer service. Additionally, ScripsAmerica plans to capitalize on cross-selling opportunities that will arise as many patients that require medical supplies for their diabetes may require or benefit from Main Avenue’s other specialty prescription products,” added Mr. Schneiderman.
